The outcome of the 2016 Presidential Election was shocking to many people who didn’t think he would win. Many predicted that Hillary Clinton would become President, but she lost to Trump. The UK is now trying to figure out what happens next, but no one knows exactly how it’s going to play out. People are afraid that it could lead to World War III. Either way, this was not something that most people saw coming. The EU is a massive organization that makes decisions that affect countries all over the world. For example, Ireland couldn’t have its financial system collapsed without the help of the EU. If something similar ever happened here, there wouldn’t be anyone to bail us out.

5. The election of Narendra Modi in political values
Modi was India’s Prime Minister for three years until 2018. He began his term as PM by promising to create jobs and improve infrastructure. fortunately, his term was full of corruption scandals and allegations. His position came under extreme scrutiny because of the things he said he’d do. One of his promises was to build 80,000 homes for those affected by natural disasters. When it came time to build them, he changed his mind and built 100,000 homes instead. So much of the money was wasted that he ended up having to give millions of dollars back. His government has been accused of using public funds to pay off cronies. There’s no proof of that, however

Jokowi is the Indonesian President. He ran for president in 2014 and beat his opponent with 52% of the votes. In 2015, he again ran and won with 55% of the votes. He ran for president once more in 2019 and won with 56%. He promised voters that he would be completely transparent and open with the government. Duterte is the President of the Philippines and has been in office since June 2016. He campaigned heavily on anti-crime policies and drug addiction. He promised to kill 30,000 criminals in six months. That led to him killing thousands of civilians along the way. His reputation was tarnished following the incident where police officers killed 16 men while arresting them. The whole thing resulted in his party losing power in the Philippine Congress.
