Lolita Tilloieva – A renowned model sharing her experience

Background

Lolita Tilloieva is born and raised in Ukraine. She has a small family consisting of her parents and a brother. She has completed her degree in Hotel and Management. During her late teens she moved to Dubai and with time she started to do modeling for famous local clothes websites, commercial photoshoots, etc. Currently, she is doing modeling and working as an Operations Manager in a Food and Beverage company in Saudi Arabia. She has been working for 9 years professionally. On the other hand, she is doing modeling for around 4 years and performed modeling in Ukraine, UAE, and Saudi Arabia.

Journey in Saudi

Lolita had a rough start in Saudi. She came to Saudi just 5 days before COVID in March 2020. As everything was restricted and due to lockdown all work was stopped, so she had to move back to Ukraine. Nonetheless, she never loses hope and was professionally dedicated. After restrictions started lifting, she came back to Saudi in October 2020 for professional work. Within a month Lolita again got a fresh start and began production again.

How did it all start?

Lolita said that it was just an accident or a coincidence Because she was going to her work and asked for help to replace one girl without imagining that it will be a modeling job. But from that moment she starts loving modeling and it became her passion

The difference in modeling in UAE and Saudi

Lolita has experience in modeling in both countries. According to her, Dubai has different standards of modeling. Dubai has great scope and quality. However here in Saudi, at the start work was not professional but over the period of 2 years, there is a significant improvement. Now we can find good photographers here, the Fashion industry is evolving, and many agencies are approaching Saudi and making amazing profiles of models.

Modeling as a full or part-time work

The modeling industry is not giving financial stability to its clients yet but hopes that it will evolve more in the future. According to her, this is seasonal work here in Saudi Arabia. One cannot rely fully on modeling to cover their financial affairs.

Saudi culture

Despite the rough start due to covid Lolita enjoys working in Saudi. She enjoys getting to know new people, as people are evolving and passionate about their dreams. Its also a home to her now.

The secret to success

Lolita revealed that the secret to her success is time management & punctuality. One must have discipline in his life to succeed. She is always punctual and likes to work if people respect it – “Times and Tide wait for none”. On the other hand, F&B work is resonating her modeling career.

Career Goals

Lolita is passionate about her F&B work. She wants to take her main job in F&B and planning to excel in this field.  She loves to do modeling; likes to be part of events. She has a goal to open her own Modeling agency and do services for F&B.

Gender discrimination

Lolita said that she never faced any gender discrimination till now in this field. People are so kind and respectful to each other. Even different genders treat each other with good manners.

Difficulty to find a life partner in this field

As the profession of modeling is considered bold, so sometimes there can be difficult to find a sincere life partner in this field, but Lolita briefs that she does not face any difficulty regarding life partner. She has a partner who is sincere and really supports her more than herself in her career. she is blessed to have that partner.

Worst experience

As Lolita really cares for punctuality and the moments when people don’t value other people’s time are very disappointing to her. Unfortunately, she already had such a bad experience when a client forgot about their photoshoot, but she took that day as an experience and drew her own conclusions

The benefit to be in Saudi

Lolita said that she feels good to be in Saudi. The biggest advantage to be here is the Stability, Safety, and various opportunities to make new connections.

Challenges in Saudi

Lolita said that she did not face any challenges regarding cultural norms. Language sometimes makes it difficult in her work and normal life but even this is being changed as more people have started to speak English.

Effects on personal life

Generally Managing a job and family is always a difficult task for men and women both. Contrary to this Lolita said that it is not a challenge for her, it’s all about managing her time and dealing with the schedule, so it has never been difficult for Lolita.

Aesthetic changes to be a successful model

Mostly the female celebrities or people related to show business are seen to accept the aesthetic changes like Botox, fillers, lip fillers, face lifting, etc. to make themselves more attractive. However, Lolita’s opinion is the opposite.  She said that changing the features in artificial ways is not the key to success in the fashion industry. The more you are passionate about your career the more it will accelerate your success.
