Brendan Fraser is making a comeback with The Whales , the new movie directed by Darren Aronofsky.  Fraser was a bona fide movie star in the 1990s, but in the 21st century, he remained in the dark. That seems to be changing with the new drama, The Whale, directed by Darren Aronofsky and starring Fraser.

 Whales, based on his own play by Samuel D. Hunter (Baskett), gets a lot of attention for Fraser’s physical changes, but what else do you need to know about this new film Do you have? Let’s take a look at the most important details.  

 WHEN IS THE RELEASE DATE FOR THE WHALE?

 The Whale will hit US audiences on December 9th. Stay tuned for information on release dates for the UK and other regions. The film was screened at the Venice Film Festival and will be screened at many other autumn festivals, including the Toronto International Film Festival and his BFI Film Festival in London. 

  WHAT IS “THE WHALE”?

 Here’s the official synopsis for The Whale by Studio A24: 

 “Darren Aronofsky’s film The Whale follows a reclusive English teacher living with severe obesity who tries to reunite with his estranged teenage daughter for one last chance at reconciliation. It’s a story to do.” 

 As mention earlier, the script is based on Hunter’s play.

 Brendan Fraser leads the cast of Whales, playing teacher Charlie, who suffers from severe obesity (Fraser wears a  weight suit with prosthetic legs to help his body change). People of the 90s will remember Fraser at the height of his fame.when he starred in movies like  Mummy, Airheads, George of the Jungle, and Gods and Monsters. . He’s still active in the 21st century but hasn’t reaching the same heights.  he did in the ’90s, mostly in TV shows and small, under-released films.

However, Fraser’s comeback has been in the works for some time. He is having a supporting role in Steven Soderbergh’s No Sudden Moves, appear in the TV series Doom Patrol. he was setting to play the villain in Batgirl before Warner Bros. canceled the film. It’s meant to be a showcase for the actor, and with more high-profile roles on the horizon, such as Killers in Martin Scorsese’s Flower Moon, we’ll see more from Brendan Fraser soon. I guess. 

 Fraser’s Whale cast includes Stranger Things star Sadie Sink as Ellie, Hong Chau (Homecoming) as Liz, Ty Simpkins (Jurassic World) as Thomas, and Samantha Morton as Mary (The Walking Dead) included.

WHALE REVIEWS – CRITICS’ OPINIONS 

 The first batch of reviews for Whales has come in, with most praising Brendan Fraser’s performance and giving the film a general thumbs up as well. Currently (as of Sept. 6)  on Rotten Tomatoes (opens in new tab ) and a score of 69 on Metacritic (opens in new tab) (still safely within the “good” range).

 The Whale directed by Darren Aronofsky. The director has been on the indie film scene since his 90s, often making a name for himself with challenging and narrative films. One of his most acclaimed films was The Wrestler, But Like The Whale was a story of redemption.
