5th STUDIO ALBUM
Swift’s fifth studio album in less than two years, “Midnightss,” is now available for pre-order on her website and is available on “moonstone blue marble” vinyl, CD, cassette, and download. Folklore and Evermore, two LPs she recording while in isolation, were released in 2020. “Folklore” won the Grammy for album of the year and will be releasing in July 2020. The first in her planned series of rerecorded replicas, “Fearless (Taylor’s Version)” too “Red (Taylor’s Version),” previous albums appeared in 2021. This action was triggering by the sale of Swift’s previous record label without her consent, which gave her new authority over her recordings.
NEW VERSION OF BAD BLOOD
Since a new version of “Bad Blood,” from that album, was featuring in the soundtrack to future animating comedy movie “DC League of Super-Pets,” fans have been speculating about a potential new version of “1989,” her pop breakout from 2014. “Midnights” is too late to qualify for the next Grammy. The selection period for the 65th Annual Ceremony will close on September 30th. But especially with its strong physical media offering, the album is likely to become one of the biggest commercial successes of the year, rivaling releases like Harry Styles’ “Harry’s House” (the year’s biggest recorded premieres (part of vinyl sales), Bad Bunny’s ‘Un Verano Sin Ti’, Disney’s ‘Encanto’ soundtrack. Competition for Swift this year was also very soft.
Artists with high debut weeks or high chart retention despite new albums from high-profile artists such as Drake, Lizzo, Post Malone, Megan Thee Stallion, and BTS Very few. One of her few new releases to stay in the top five recently was Beyoncé’s Renaissance. Which was also the biggest opening for a woman this year. Her last artist Swift became the first artist to market a million copies in a single week in 2017 with “Reputation.”
