Neil Young demanded that Spotify removes his tracks or terminate his relationship with the podcaster, who has been spreading false coronavirus accusations.

Young Objection upon Podcaster Joe Rogan Misleading about COVID19:

Neil objected the Spotify for their podcaster Joe Rogan, who was spreading questionable claims regarding the coronavirus, Spotify will remove singer-songwriter Neil Young’s songs from the platform. In 2015, However, Young withdrew his music from Spotify and other streaming platforms due to poor audio quality.

He openly asked his management and the streaming service to remove his music from the platform. Despite his six million monthly listeners, Young didn’t step back.

 

Spotify Said It Regretted Young’s Choice:

Spotify said it however regretted Young’s choice to request the removal of his songs. It, significantly, hoped to “welcome him back soon” in a statement released on Wednesday.

“I realized I couldn’t keep supporting Spotify’s life-threatening disinformation to music fans,” Young explained.

Singer says that many of Spotify’s listeners are receiving false information about COVID-19,19. While some listeners are the young and wrong side of truth can easily grab them, such misleading is havoc.

“These young individuals believe Spotify would never present drastically erroneous data,” he said. “Sadly, they are incorrect. I somehow realized I needed to make an effort to bring it up.”
