When Lewis Capaldi Tourette’s syndrome looked to start affecting him mid-song at a concert in Germany on Tuesday (Feb. 21), his fans rallied to his support.

While Lewis Capaldi has tics mid-concert, his audience assists him in finishing “Someone You Loved.”

The memorable event took place at the singer’s concert in Frankfurt, Germany.

The Scottish musician was performing his No. 1 hit “Someone You Loved” for the enthusiastic crowd during his tour stop in Frankfurt when the incident happened. When singing, “And I tend to close my eyes when it aches sometimes/ I fall into your arms/ I’ll be safe in your sound till I come back around,” in fan-shot video from the show, Capaldi appears to be having tic issues.

The chorus of the song is then taken up by the crowd, who collectively chant, “For now, the day bleeds into nightfall/ And you’re not here to get me through it all/ I let my guard down but then just you pulled the rug/ I was getting kind of used to being someone you loved,” back at him.

The TikTok video was tagged by a fan.

The fan tagged the video on TikTok with, “We support you!! @LewisCapaldi,” and the video turned out to be quite a humaning moment for users of the social media site. One fan commented in the comments, “Humans humaning can be so comforting to watch sometimes,” and another added, “Everyone singing is a blessing to this planet… Much thank.

The worst thing about having Tourette’s syndrome, according to Capaldi, is that I get it when I’m excited, anxious, or joyful. He first revealed this to his fans on Instagram Live last October. It frequently takes place. It hurts more or less on different days. Some days are worse than others. It seems far worse than it really is. It can be extremely unpleasant at times, but it passes.
