AJ Brown scored his catch for his third touchdown in the first half and the Eagles star his receiver was knocked down by a slapstick ( Steelers) clash through a colored visor of his two Steelers. I looked into the defender. Brown then pointed and taunted the downed Steeler as the Philadelphia crowd roared, and he received a mock penalty.

TOO MANY EAGLES FOR THE STEELERS

15 METERS WORTH OF FUN.

“I just said, ‘One, two, that’s not enough,'” Brown said with a laugh.

For Brown, he was pretty good with his three TDs. I mean, the Eagles were 7-0, like the only undefeated team in the NFL, 7-1. The Hearts threw three touchdown passes to Brown in the first half and finished with 285 yards and four total TDs as Philadelphia edged Pittsburgh 35-13 on Sunday.

Brown had six receptions for 156 yards, helping the Eagles win their first seven games for the second time in franchise history and the first since 2004 when Donovan McNabb and Terrell Owens led them to the Super Bowl. On the season, the Eagles were denied an 8–0 start in a loss to the Steelers.

Pittsburgh (2-6) showed no resistance this time as Hearts and Brown turned the rink into their pitch-and-catch playground.

“I know I can’t let him down,” Brown said. “We just have fun and play for each other. I’m sure he knows I have my back. I’m sure he has my back too.” I know. I think that’s what it is.”

PICKETT SAID

Rookie Kenny Pickett showed shorter growing pains for the Steelers, with 191 yards and an interception he had 25 of 38 yards. Wide receiver Chase Claypool threw a 1-yard pass to fullback Derek Watt on a trick play in the first quarter for Pittsburgh’s only touchdown.

“We need more explosive play,” Pickett said. The World Series banner was hoisted on the street in front of Citizens Bank Park. The Phillies and Houston Astros face him 1-1 in Game 3 of the Phillies on Monday. The Eagles as Super Bowl favorites.

It’s a great time of year for sports fans in Philadelphia, with Brown becoming the latest star and giving us yet another memorable October moment.

3 POINTS IN THE FIRST HALF.

If the Titans didn’t feel the asking price for an extension was too high in the spring, Brown could provoke them by scoring in Tennessee. Traded along the way. The Eagles gave him a four-year, $100 million contract with a $57 million post-trade guarantee.

NO BUYER REGRETS YET.

Brown became the first receiver since Tennessee’s Drew Bennett in 2004 to score three touchdowns in the first half from over 25 yards. Hearts took his lead at halftime 21-10 as he hit Brown from 39, 27, and 29 yards.

Brown reached over his shoulder in the end zone to score the third when Pittsburgh defenders Minka Fitzpatrick and Arkelo Witherspoon collided. Brown could have made Owens proud with the kind of celebration that retired recipients once saw.

Her first TD was probably the most impressive. Brown went up to catch the lever 39 yards and won the ball battle with Fitzpatrick slapping the turf in frustration.

Hearts strode Brown for their second touchdown as a fast receiver passed cornerback Arthur Moullett. Brown had the best game of his brief tenure with the Eagles, surpassing the 155 yards he had in the season opener against Detroit. He had only two touchdowns to enter the game.

One of his blows to the Eagles this season is a slowdown in the second half. They had only four second-half touchdowns and were shut out after halftime against Minnesota and Washington.

Hearts dispelled those concerns when he threw his TD pass for 39 yards to Zach Pascal and he took a 28-10 lead. “They played, we didn’t,” said Steelers manager Mike Tomlin. “We have to own it.”

“We were out partying,” Brown said. “It’s fun. Nothing like that.”

 SAY A PRAYER

Among the Eagles’ inactivity: books, jobs, sermons. QB Ian Book, RB Trey Salmon, CB Josh Jobs.

INJURY

Nick Shiva kicked his goal on the field from 38 and 29 yards for the Steelers in place of the injured Chris Boswell (groin). Eagles DT Jordan Davis injured their ankle.

NEXT GAME

The Steelers say goodbye before hosting New Orleans on Nov. 13. The Eagles will play in Houston on Thursday night, which could start a sold-out Philadelphia Sports Week in Texas. Games 6 and 7 (if needed) of the World Series are scheduled for Friday and Saturday in Houston.
