1. Washington Digital Media

The Washington State Digital Media program was created to bring together the various stakeholders involved in media production, distribution, and consumption throughout the state. The goal of the program is to increase access to information and entertainment content while promoting quality local programming.

2. Washington Broadband Initiative

In 2009, Governor Christine Gregoire signed HB 2061 into law, making Washington the first state in America to create a broadband initiative. In 2010, the legislature passed HB 2260, which established the Washington Broadband Council (WBC) to oversee the implementation of the plan.
