Demi Lovato is Tired of Teaching People on Their Pronouns

Demi Lovato has spoken up about their gender identity journey, stating they’re now fine with people referring to them as ‘they/them’ or’she/her’ – after having to continually justify what being non-binary meant to others, which they described as “exhausting.”

In a recent interview with GQ Espaa, Demi revealed, “I continually had to explain to people why I associated with those pronouns. It was quite draining. One of the explanations why I’m at ease using feminine pronouns is because of this. I simply grew weary. However, I am aware that it is crucial to keep spreading the message for that precise reason.
They first came forward being non-binary in May 2021 and use the pronouns they/them exclusively until the end of August 2022, when they stepp out to let their supporters know that they were a “fluid person” and that they had been “feeling more feminine.”
When questioned about the recent push for non-binary performers to choose not to compete into awards that include gendered categories, Demi utilized the new conversation as a chance to talk more about their personal experience with gender.
