A Caretaker sharing her experience in Saudi Arabia

Efforts make your life according to what you have an effort for. This effort can be on a big scale and on a scarce scale, but in both cases it needs satisfaction. If a man has effort a lot to have the best quality of life and if he is satisfied with it then his efforts are successful. On the other hand, there is a cleaner who works 24 hours and makes money enough for his children sitting in another country is still satisfactory for him even if it is on a very small scale, so efforts are successful if they have satisfied the person whether poor or billionaire.

Philippino caretaker

In Saudi Arabia, the number of ex-pats is larger compared to other countries. The Phillipino community is among the larger number. The low-paid jobs are of nurses, cleaners, caretakers, coffee men, etc. they don’t earn very much but enough to feed their families. They used to get perks like food and residence which makes it easy for them to go with low-salary work. This is indeed tiring work to do but yet they do it for their need.

We have interviewed many people related to these professionals like nurses, teachers, photographers, etc. we talked about their difficulties, rotating schedules, hard work, salaries, etc.

Here is the working journey of a female caretaker working in a rich family. She has shared her difficulties and satisfaction with her job.

Background  

The caretaker belongs to the Philippines. She is an undergraduate and has just done 1 year of bachelor’s in science, but due to some difficulties, could not complete her studies. The caretaker has two kids one daughter and a son in the Philippines that’s the reason she is making money to keep feeding them. Because of less education, she did not get a good job in the Philippines, so she decided to come to Saudi Arabia. She is a caretaker in a very rich family.

Life in Saudi Arabia

She said that as far as her job in KSA. She has to be strong. Her job is tiring but she has to keep going with it to feed her children. Her children keep motivating her even in the weak moments. She is energetic to learn new things and is a strong woman.

Skills of a caretaker

To achieve well in every field of life, hard work and passion are very important whether the job is big or small. The caretaker shared that self-determination and focus on the task which you are given is the strength of this profession.

Financial stability

The caretaker shared that she makes enough money to feed her 2 kids, but is not sure about the future. She said that now her children are small, going to school but if they will go to college these earnings will not be enough.

Best and worst experience

Life is the name of good and bad experiences that teach us how to deal with life.  The caretaker shared her best and worst experiences in her job. She said that her boss is a rich person and used to have VIP guests most of the time. It’s a great experience to attend and serve these VIP guests and get their admiration and appreciation, whereas the worst is when she is sick but still she has to be present in the kitchen. There is no one to console her tiredness and sickness but yet she feels relieved getting appreciation from her boss.

Benefits of living in Saudi Arabia

It is been five years that this caretaker has been living and working in KSA. She has made all these sacrifices for her children. The biggest advantage of living here is that the earnings are 10 times of the Philippines. The caretaker said that she is enjoying living here and never seen discrimination in males and females and is respected everywhere.

Rotating Schedule

The caretaker said that she works from 5 pm to 12 am, but sometimes faces a rotating schedule, especially during her sleeping time. sometimes guests come at different times so she has to leave her rest and go to work, but it is not all the time.

 Hobby

She uses Instagram, TikTok, and other social media to cheer herself up when she is free or feeling sad, indeed staying alone is not an easy task for a mother.
