Book Name: One liter of Tears.
Introduction
A young girl’s fight for life, she was only 14. Only 14 when life decided to play with her in the worst way possible. A game she wasn’t prepared for, as a high schooler what can you expect. She was diagnosed with an incurable disease called spinocerebellar degeneration. Somehow, this disease would scatter the whole body. Ultimately, she would slowly lose control of her body. Her own body would eventually become a prison. “Reality is too cruel, too brutal. I don’t even have the right to dream. As I think about the future, the tears will come out again.”
Aya kitou was one brave girl, “if this disease hadn’t chosen me, I would have never appreciated the beautiful life ahead”. A story of a girl who only wished to live what you called a ‘Normal’ life. She was a fighter. Indeed, she fought with this disease and the social point of view. She never wanted to be labeled disabled, but finally, society won. she had to leave behind her normal life and start a new one.
My review
You may never have heard of this book .as the original book is in Japanese titled “1リットルの涙 (Ichi ritou namida)” should I explain what each word in Japanese mean? No?. Good thing is that it is translated to English. Otherwise, I would probably have made a Japanese friend (though I suck at making friends). However, I did not actually buy this book because it was around 10 dollars plus shipping on amazon (and sadly Amazon doesn’t ship to Pakistan).
I love this book to bits and pieces and probably have cried a bucket of tears or even more. Her words, each sentence inspired me to appreciate life. I now appreciate it as it also inspires me to set such goals that are achievable. life is not always cookies and rainbows, no! to earn them you have to work hard.
My final thoughts: Your Weekly Dose Of Book Review
I defiantly approve of this book and would recommend new readers and the people who have lost all hope in life please give this book a go, I swear this will probably help you if not, defiantly it will melt your heart.
