Taron Egerton claims he disliked his “Tetris” mustache

Egerton makes a joke about his fake mustache reminding him of childbirth, and he asks the audience to remind him not to accept another part that needs him to wear a fake mustache.

He spoke on the topic. And holy crap was that thing agonizing! I wore one because, you know, the mustache God gave me isn’t really impressive. So I had some movie help. Approximately eight years ago, I wore one in a film titled Eddie the Eagle. And I wore it for a portion of the film and said, “I’ll never do that again because it’s the most uncomfortable thing I’ve ever experienced,” but I forgot.

On Thursday’s Good Morning America, Taron Egerton, the 33-year-old actor who plays Rocketman, discussed that he finds it difficult to wear a fake mustache while filming his latest film.

“I didn’t like it very much,” he added. “If it were real, I would have loved it, but it was just a little bit of movie magic.” “Oh my God, that was so unbearable!”

He said, “God didn’t give me much of a mustache, so I grew one for Eddie the Eagle, an eight-year-old film I starred in. Egerton also stated that between the release of Eddie the Eagle in 2016 and the filming of Tetris, he “forgot” how terrible the mustache was.

“I’ll never do it again, regardless of how much you pay me,” he continued. “Don’t let me grow a mustache I didn’t grow.”

Henk Rogers, portrayed by Taron Egerton, is a pillar of the video game business. He contributed to the success of the 1984 game shown in the film by securing distribution rights for home consoles.
