Marion Barber: A Former Cowboy Player died at the age of 38

The team announced on Wednesday that Marion Barber III, a former Dallas Cowboys who ranked fourth in franchise history with 47  touch downs, has died. He was 38 years old. Barber played his final season in Chicago in 2011 after serving his first six years at the Cowboys. Furthermore, After his career, he was suffering from mental health. Police in Frisco, a suburb of Dallas, said Wednesday that they were conducting a welfare check in an apartment believed to have been rented by a barber, where he was investigating unmanned death.

Marion Barber, a former running back for the Dallas Cowboys, has died at the age of 38.

The Cowboys, whose headquarters are in Frisco, said they were “heartbroken” by Marion Barber III’s death. The squad described Marion as an “old-school, hard-nosed football player. He ran with the determination to win every down.” Moreover,  “He was enthralled by the game and adored his coaches and teammates.”  Marion Barber Jr., Barber’s father, spent seven seasons with the New York Jets in the 1980s.  Before two-time NFL rushing champion, Ezekiel Elliott passed him in 2021, the younger Barber was third on Dallas’ career tally for rushing touchdowns. Similarly, Barber had 53 total touchdowns in his seven seasons and never had fewer than four in any of them, despite never having a 1,000-yard rushing season.

Furthermore, Three years after finishing his career, the barber was arrested. He was taken to the hospital for a mental health assessment. Police in another Mansfield suburb of Dallas said it was not clear what prompted the call to prompt them to answer.  Both the barber and his father played for the Golden Gophers. Similarly, The young barber is second on the school’s career list with a rush touchdown of 35.  New England’s first choices for Barber and Laurence Maroney in 2006 were the first two NCAA defenses. They spent 1,000 yards on the same team for the second consecutive year. Moreover, They did it in 2003-4. Barber’s younger brothers Dom Barber and Thomas Barber also played for the Gophers. Dom Barber spent four years as a defenseman at the Houston Texans.
