Abbreviation of it is Human Immunodeficiency Virus as it attacks the immune cells named CD4 cells. These cells are further types of T cells – white blood cells which travel in the whole body to detect any abnormality. HIV attacks these cells and used them to create more virus cells. In this process the ability of body to fight with other infections reduces. This increases the risks of cancer cells in the body. It is a life-time condition but its progression can be prevented through treatments.

Abbreviation of AIDS is Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome. It is a further proceeding stage of it. It can be identified through having a CD4 count fewer than 200 cells approx. it can also be identified if the patient have infections of characteristic opportunistic, cancer of associated types or having both. AIDS develops when the patient did not get treatment on time.

- Blood
