A perfect impersonator of politicians, celebrities, and “The Girl You Wish You Hadn’t Started a Conversation With at a Party,” Cecily Strong , is departing Saturday Night Live.

Saturday Night Live’s Cecily Strong bids farewell.

Her impersonation of these people made viewers laugh out loud.

In the season finale of the show, hosted by actor Austin Butler and featuring musician Lizzo, Strong made her final appearance as a cast member after 11 years.

Cast member Kenan Thompson praised Strong’s accomplishments in a spoof where she assumed it was her last day working at a Radio Shack.

“She always arrived at work with a different persona, accent, or impression that will really wow you. She performed with a strength and pleasure that brought back memories of why one loved employment at Radio Mart in the first place “Thomson made a joke.

Strong responded, “I love you too, Mr. Frank Lasagna.”

Strong, one of the SNL cast members with the longest tenure, performed daring impersonations of divisive women including Krysten Sinema, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and Melania Trump.

With characters like a scruffy chain smoker with a skewed knowledge of the news and the ditzy “valley girl” who incoherently plays devil’s advocate while being preoccupied with her phone, she was unafraid to make fun of the shifting political landscape.

Strong now stars in the musical series Schmigadoon! on Apple TV+, and the show has been renewe for a second season. Additionally, Strong will appear in the upcoming animated film Garfield, which is schedule to hit theatres in 2024.
